Karen L. Judd, PhD, LCSW

Dr. Karen Judd is an energetic and dedicated Licensed Psychotherapist with more than 40 years of experience in helping and empowering others to lead more fulfilling and healthy lives. She is skilled in working with adults, children, individuals, couples and families. Her clinical expertise includes addressing symptoms and issues related to depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, chronic medical conditions, relationship and/or marital concerns and LGBT issues. Additionally, Dr. Judd has extensive experience in working with substance use and addictions in both individual and group settings.

Dr. Judd received her Doctorate degree from the University of Central Florida and her Masters in Social Work from the University of Denver. She has worked as an Adjunct Professor at both St Leo University in Tampa and the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Other highlights of her career include Medical Social Work at Lake Harris Home Health Care assisting individuals through life transitions, and at North Central Early Steps assisting children and families cope through issues related to developmental disabilities and trauma. Dr. Judd is also Certified in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, which is a measurement tool that is used in identifying personality types for the purpose of helping individuals not only understand their personality type, but to use the knowledge in leading more successful and fulfilling lives.

As a psychotherapist, Dr. Judd's primary therapeutic style includes solution- focused and cognitive-behavioral strategies. However, Dr. Judd recognizes that all individuals may have specific and unique needs and will incorporate other therapeutic approaches to assist you in working towards the goals that you desire.
