Suzanne Howard, LCSW

Ms. Howard is a supportive licensed psychotherapist and Clinical Social Worker, who has assisted individuals, couples, and families in a variety of settings. Her experience includes counseling persons with a range of issues including depression, anxiety, loss and grief, trauma, relationships, retirement and other life transitions. Ms. Howard has provided counseling services to Central Florida residents for the past fifteen years. Ms Howard recently completed specialized training and has become a certified Tobacco Specialist. Her goal is to utilize her skills to assist individuals in smoking cessation.
Ms. Howard is a graduate of Barry University in Miami Shores, Fl, where she earned her Masters degree in Social Work. During her program she interned at the Jackson Memorial Hospital Employee Assistance Program. Prior to that she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from Florida International University in Miami, FL, and interned at South Florida State Hospital in Pembroke Pines.
Through her extensive clinical experience Ms. Howard has developed a treatment approach that centers on empowering clients within cognitive behavioral and solution focused strategies. An appreciation for cultural diversity was developed while counseling families and individuals in South Florida as they adjusted to new lives in the United States, and during extensive international travel.
Ms. Howard lives locally with her husband, a yellow Labrador Retriever, and a black and white cat. She enjoys travel, reading, and seeing the Florida scenery through the window of a small plane.
